Grand Canyon Explorer Hike

You'll enjoy outstanding vistas on a "mild" Grand Canyon hike.  This is the perfect hike for first time Grand Canyon visitors.  The trail is wide, but the views are unparalleled. You'll experience the vastness of Grand Canyon with relative ease.  This is a GREAT hike for the Entire Family.  Difficulty Rating:  Mild to Moderate

Secret Desert Oasis Hike 

(Note:  Due to trailhead closure this hike will not be available between April and November 2008).

Explore little known springs hidden in the depths of the Grand Canyon.  Abundant shade, maidenhair fern, crimson monkey flower and wild grapes surround these rare water sources.  Over 80% of the canyon's biodiversity surrounds these springs.  The trail drops steeply at first, but levels out nicely for the second half of the hike.  Difficulty Rating:  Moderate

Sky Island and Subterranean Exploration

Visit one of Grand Canyon's largest sky islands (a mile long mesa surrounded by towering temples and buttes).  Explore turn of the century mining operations where the rails and mining equipment still litter the landscape.  Then you'll descend into surreal limestone caverns with giant stalactites, stalagmites and other colorful cave formations.  You won't believe you're really in Grand Canyon!  Difficulty rating:  Difficult

Steep & Rugged - Grand Canyon Extreme

• Private and Exclusive:  All of our overnight hikes are arranged on a custom and private basis.  This is important because differences in hiking abilities can make your dream adventure a nightmare.  Your group will NOT be paired with any other hikers.

• Local Transportation Provided:  No Hassles trying to find a remote trailhead.  Transportation to and from all local hotels in Flagstaff, Williams and the Grand Canyon Area is provided.

• All equipment and permits provided:  We provide the newest gear, and the lightest backpacks in the industry.  All the necessary gear is provided for you.  All you need to bring is a small list of personal items.

• Expert Medically Trained Guides:  Our guides have logged thousands of miles below the rim, and are experts in the geology, flora and fauna and human history of the area.  In addition, all of our guides maintain current wilderness medicine certificates, and are trained to handle backcountry emergencies should they arise.

• Two guides on every hike:  For safety and convenience your expedition will be accompanied by two guides.  In addition to a trip leader, all hikes are accompanied by an assistant guide.  Our assistant guides, carry the bulk of the gear and insure that your backpacks will be as light as possible.  (Note:  Havasu Canyon hikes utilize a pack mule instead of an assistant guide).

• Scrumptious Backcountry Cooking:  Are menus are reviewed by local chefs, and are always fresh (we avoid freeze dried meals whenever possible).  Typical expedition menus include Chicken Fajitas and Pesto Tortellini and are prepared by your guides.  Due to the exclusive nature of our expeditions, special dietary requirements are easily accommodated.
